Yanked

When not many tv programmes are being made, programme acquisition becomes the game - and Sue Deeks at the BBC is becoming more and more important in Charlotte Moore's Content Team.

Today, it's announced she's bought 'Love Life', streamed earlier this year on HBO, following the 'Sex and the City' style life in New York of Darby Carter, played by Anna Kendrick. It's for BBC1 and iPlayer.

As we noted at the end of last month, the BBC is now the UK home of Fort Salem, Battlestar Galactica, Looking for Alaska and many more US imports. Are we heading back to the days of Dallas, Dynasty, Kojak, Cagney and Lacey, etc ?  Will Ofcom kick off ?
