BBC DG Tim Davie yesterday repeated his point that local radio 'only' reaches 13% of the population, as if that made it ready and prime to cut further. Radio 1 currently reaches 14% a week, Radio 5 Live reaches 9% (10% when you include Sports Extra) 6Music reaches 5%, Radio 3 gets 3%, as does repeat channel Radio 4Xtra, and the Asian Network and Radio 1Xtra are on 1%.
On TV BBC3 reaches 11.9m, but that's a cumulative figure over four weeks. CBeebies reaches 10m, and CBBC 3.9m.
