BBC DG Tim Davie was asked for 'slightly pithier answers' by new Culture Committee chair Caroline Dinenage, halfway through this morning's interview.
"I'm utterly committed to local broadcasting from the community", he said, without budging on his cuts to local radio. He said he would share "any impact assessment". He had a record number of minders behind him. My shot shows Andrew Scadding directly behind the DG, but the two either side seem new, and the guy on the right needs to be told to stop nodding.
11.25am update: Guy on right has read Twitter and stopped nodding.
