Richard Burgess, previously deputy to Jonathan Munro at News Content (Newsgathering) at the BBC has been promoted to Director of News Content, reporting to Jonathan Munro, now called Director of Journalism.
The seminal film in Mr Burgess' life is 1983's Octopussy, which he saw aged 9. This year, he bought a VHS copy of the movie for his bookshelf, though no longer possessing a VHS player. His favourite moment - when Maud Adams emerges naked from the swimming pool, observed by Roger Moore hiding in the bushes.
