Sometimes you get the feeling that the HR team at the BBC take a new job title, put the words into a tombola drum, and pick them out one by one (occasionally leaving on or two in the tumbler).
Thus applications are invited for a "Senior Product Manager – Digital New and Streaming". Second line of the come-on ? "Looking for something impactful and the [Missing word ? Ed] where you can truly make a difference?"
For some time, we've been reporting BBC Studios bid to make money out of News in the States; now it seems that they haven't even built the thing. But when they do, it'll be exciting. "It is a truly exciting time to join; we are currently on an exciting journey of growth and evolution. Central to supporting that growth is the launching of new or enhanced digital products into the market. You will be joining the team as a key member for shaping and delivering a commercial news subscription offering at the mobilisation phase."
And while Tim Davie worries about office presentee-ism, BBC Studios just don't care. "We understand flexibility. There will only be the requirement to come to the London offices (Television Centre) once or twice a month, meaning you maybe based anywhere in the UK."
