Seven years on from planning approval, the second phase of the redevelopment of the former BBC Television Centre is set to start building.
Phase One included 432 new homes, three revamped tv studios for BBC Studio Works, a branch of Soho House and various other eateries, and a new pub in the car park.
The second phase will see 511 homes over four separate plots. 180 will be in a new crescent-shaped block wrapping around the back of the complex, and 170 in 25-storey tower, plus 142 'affordable' Peabody homes on the site of the old multi-storey car park. A nine-storey office building is also under construction and is scheduled to be complete by early next year.
