Another recruitment fumble

Deadline tells us that the BBC's Charlotte Moore is having a re-think on appointing a new Director of Factual, Arts and Classical Music.

The current recruitment process, looking for someone big enough to fill the boots of Patrick Holland, has been halted, with four candidates who made final interview being told that none of them were successful - a guaranteed confidence-booster. It's now four months since Mr Holland shipped out - it only takes three months for Alan Sugar to find an Apprentice winner.

BBC Three Controller Fiona Campbell will continue minding the Factual shop on an interim basis.
