From the touchline

There's something a bit uncomfortable about Baroness (Dido) Harding, former leader of NHS Test & trace, discussing BBC efficiencies with the righteous warriors of the National Audit Office. The questioning might have been more productive the other way round. 

The session, at the House of Lords yesterday, brought answers from Louise Bladen that there could be more savings to come from new-ways-of-working-post-Covid, better use of technology and IT, properly rolling out changes in News and Nations & Regions, and more benchmarking.

Back at base, Tom Fussell, CEO of BBC Studios will be asking questions about how the NAO have spotted three different teams selling ads in the States....
