New Newsbeat Executive Editor Danielle Dwyer (on a twelve-month deal) looks like spending her first year recruiting and training new staff. According to the Guardian, three quarters of existing Newsbeat staff have decided not to follow The Pied Piper of King's Heath to Birmingham - though, to be fair, they didn't know she was their new boss when asked to produce a Top 3 list of Jobs They'd Like To Do.
The "BBC Spokesman" is having a hard time making this sound good. "The BBC said... a majority of staff would be doing roles for which they expressed a preference." So there's a minority, of unspecified size, not doing even their third choice of job in the restructured BBC News ?
