Anxious times

Canadian Steve Ladurantaye, who boasts an 'aspirational degree', has left his job running news and current affairs at STV.  He was headhunted for the role in 2018 with the help of recruitment company Saxton Bampfylde.

Seven months ago he wrote a 'Editor's Note' on the STV website entitled 'Navigating Anxiety Through Coronavirus Crisis'.  He described being on medication for a panic attack in 2008, and coming close again.

The Times reports there complaints about his behaviour from women staff, but an STV spokesman said “Steven Ladurantaye has resigned as STV’s head of news and current affairs for medical reasons around mental health, for which he is receiving treatment.”
