Whilst the BBC ploughs its chosen furrow with long news bulletins on the BBC Scotland channel, commercial rival STV is becoming more aggressive about its viewing figures for news. This tweet, not yet backed up by published figures, comes from STV's

Steve came to STV from CBC in Toronto last year. He has what he calls 'an aspirational degree' from Carleton University, Ottowa. "I really wanted to go to university, but then my band got a record deal. So I dropped out and did that instead."
