We were promised white open-necked shirt and dark blazer. We got light-blue open-necked shirt, straight out of the cellophane packet, a suit jacket, jeans and leisure shoes. Wherever the snapper from BBC Corporate Affairs put us, we stood legs apart, clutching the John-Simpson-style-notebook. We are Brand Davie, at Pacific Quay.
