Anniversary journalism is a pain. I've said before on these pages that, in news output, you're better served by stories with some momentum, impact or surprise.
A number of readers have said they'd liked to have been a fly on the wall at the BBC tv news planning meeting that came up with this week's series: World War 2 meets Who Do You Think You Are ? for newsreaders. Last night: Huw Edwards; today Mishal Husain; Thursday is Reeta Chakrabarti's turn; and Friday it's Sophie Raworth.
