Team Davie

"Colleagues" and "friends" of Tim Davie have been talking to the Sunday papers about how the new Director General of the BBC will launch his regime this week.

We're told he's going to stick to open-necked white shirt and dark blazer, and will be seen first at the BBC Scotland ziggurat in Glasgow, Pacific Quay. Will staff be strategically 'clustered' in the photo-opportunity, to make the place look busy ?

As predicted here and here, he will announce a much smaller executive committee - one paper says just nine, compared with the current 18.  There may be more flouncing off as a result.

Will he reverse the decision not to have vocals on Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory ?  The Sun thinks so. The Sunday Times believes he will try to rebalance the internal cultural scales between the ascendant 'woke' and the forgotten 'bloke'.

A key decision for Team Davie - when to accede a long interview with Amol Rajan ?
