Four weeks to go at the BBC and Lord Hall will be clearing out the odd hard-drive and handing on the odd strategy document to Tim Davie. Having promised a simpler BBC, the good Lord passes on an 18-strong Executive Committee, made up entirely of BBC managers.
When Tony arrived, there were just seven on the board, with a wavering number of non-executives. With the closing of the Trust in 2017, the Executive Committee started with just ten, including the DG. With remorseless simplification, it's nearly doubled in three years.
Lean and mean Tim manages with just 13 on the board of BBC Studios. It may be a chilly August for some BBC executives....
