Prorogation has biffed an opportunity for departing BBC HR Director Valerie Hughes D'Aeth to polish her CV in front of the Public Accounts Committee.  A session was planned for Wednesday, featuring Val, Tone and Glyn Isherwood, Group Finance and Operations Director,, but has now been kiboshed.

The BBC's gender pay gap is now probably world-beating in a media organisation, but there are still questions about how long it's taking to deal with the backlog of historic cases. Perhaps the BBC will publish an update that it might have been preparing for Wednesday....
