The UK's current thought-leader, Mr Dominic Cummings, told door-stepping hacks this morning to stop talking to 'rich remainers'. This is the language of a man used to defining people by marketing boxes, with the help of physicists who have studied Facebook algorithms.
Mr Cumming's house in Islington is in a street where the average property price stands at £1.1m; though Mr Cummings and his wife Mary Wakefield paid slightly more, and employed architects to re-model the ground floor - it was previously the home of a psychotherapist. It stands in a sector defined by the Office of National Statistics as dominated by "Highly-Qualified Quaternary Workers", total population 1,661, total benefit claimants 31. The MP is Emily Thornberry. The central point of the street is 23 metres above sea level.
On various days over the past year, the street has been closed to traffic in the afternoon, and becomes a 'play street' for local children. A small group of residents, including former Beeboid Peter Day, organises rambles two or three times a year.
