Does it add up ?

I'm sure there are financial experts within the BBC who can craft a clear response to this letter in the Sunday Times...

The BBC says that funding free licences for the over-75s would entail closing down BBC2, BBC4, the BBC News channel, BBC Scotland, Radio 5 Live and some local radio stations. If pensioners are paying for all this, what are the rest of viewing households paying for?
