Lots to learn

A job advert for a project manager for BBC tv production systems highlights just how many different BBC-developed and purchased bits of software have blossomed, and probably need pruning.  My highlights...

Understanding, assessing and delivering roadmaps for the existing large production management reporting systems – e.g. Silvermouse

Understanding, assessing and delivering roadmaps for core local production management systems in TV as well as some in Radio – e.g. systems used by the Antiques Roadshow, Watchdog and Network Radio

Script Management software across the BBC and understanding, assessing and delivering roadmaps for this area e.g. Movie Magic and Final Draft

Working with a central Rights & Scheduling product team to understand, assess and agree roadmaps for the delivery of some systems on their behalf e.g. Autoclear, C3PO and Sports Rights

Managing the vendor relationship and delivering solutions for non-media Asset Management across the BBC used for outside broadcasts and prop stores – e.g. SiSo and EZOfficeInventory.
