BBC News will have to find some new indie output, to keep up their quota after the cancellation of Juniper Productions' This Week. The new Andrew Neil Show, being rushed into the BBC2 schedules at 7pm this coming Wednesday, will be an in-house production, under the boisterous, self-assured hands of Live Political Programmes Editor Rob Burley.
Andrew, 70, never noticeably mobile in front of the camera, may have to be in a swivel chair, after cracking ribs in a bike fall near his house outside Grasse in the South of France. Presumably whatever's on his head prevented injury to his skull.
