Say you'd closed your newsroom for the holiday weekend, erecting a huge scaffold to replace to hard- to-reach failed fluorescent lighting units with some longer-lasting LED thingies. Say they all seemed to be working as you dismantled the scaffolding, and just as the poles were heading back to the lorry, you looked up, and one had failed. Just saying.
