According to the Mail, the BBC has decided to part company with Asian Network Breakfast host Tommy Sandhu. He's been suspended for a month, after complaints about remarks made on a private WhatsApp group.
Londoner Tommy, 40, started with the Network as a showbiz reporter. There can be few complaints about his work ethic - til his suspension he was hosting four hours from 6am five times a week. Auntie had also been building his profile on other shows, including occasional co-presentation of Sunday Morning Live and appearanaces on travel and gadget programmes on BBC World.
Prior to Auntie, he appeared on Blind Date when President of the Bournemouth University student union. His CV as a DJ includes many remixes of works by Cilla Black.
