Thinking time

Students of a simpler BBC note that, as yet, there's no advert to seek a replacement for Director of Operations, Dominic "Dirty Work" Coles.  This leaves a £307,800 p.a. hole (or saving opportunity ?) for Anne Bulford, Managing Director of Finance and Operations, and a certain amount of twitchiness in the remaining Coles support operation.

Dominic looked after BBC Property, Technology and Distribution, Information and Archive, Business Continuity and Safety, Strategic Procurement and "the pan-BBC PMO" (?). The BBC's network of Chief Operating Officers reported into him on operational matters. And he sat on the BBC's Finance Committee.
