160 ITV Granada staff in finance and HR have moved into the Orange Tower at MediaCityUK, Salford, according to the The Business Desk. Next to arrive from Quay Street Manchester will be The Jeremy Kyle team - presumably snarling with faux outrage, but, in the end, seeing the common sense of it all.
The remaining 300+ ITV staff will move after Christmas, with Granada Reports set for March.
Much further away is the move of Coronation Street to other side of the Manchester Ship Canal - where some elements of construction failed to come up to scratch and have been rebuilt.
ITV share the Orange Tower with Salford University; and interior designers with the BBC - Sheppard Robson's ID:SR.
