Ryan air

While ITV goes Welsh, Radio 2 is returning to Ireland for breakfast - RTE's Ryan Tubridy, who's already done some weekend cover on the network, steps into Chris Evans' slot this Bank Holiday Monday - and gets to cover Chris's summer holidays.

This is one in the eye for Richard Madeley, Chris's regular dep.

The Wogan mini-me currently hosts 9.00 to 11.00am on 2FM in Ireland. Latest audience figures show he dropped 4,000 listeners on the last quarter, to 172k - whilst Ray D'Arcy, on commercial rival Today FM, added 15,000 to 249k. Has Bob Shennan backed the wrong horse ?
