Form book 27

Richard Brooks in The Sunday Times (behind the paywall) makes his assessment of the race for BBC DG today - and, in 325 words, fails to mention a woman.

He says that Ed Richards of Ofcom and George Entwistle at BBC Vision are the front-runners - with George apparently ahead on the headhunters' profile-matching. Mr Brooks reckons that Lionel Barber, at the FT, is among those who have been put off by the likely remuneration.
