In monitoring the race for the next BBC DG, I have gained some insight into the world of headhunters, Egon Zehnder. I have learned that they're helping the ICC find a new CEO. I have learned that they're helping the British Bankers' Association to find a new CEO.
And I have learned that they do not speak like other people. Here's a quote from Manuel de Miranda, of Egon Zehnder, who's trying to say that people who work in HR need experience in other parts of business to become better leaders...
"Our insights led us to conclude that the behaviors, experience and business-line credibility naturally learned in line-facing roles could best account for the separation between 'good HR leaders' and 'great HR leaders".
