There's slightly updated guidance for BBC staff using Twitter, which seems to be written by Chris Hamilton, Social Media Editor. Largely, he speaks in plain English.
However here's a sentence that grates. "Official accounts need to be complied by a senior editor/producer in your department". I'm pretty sure the verb "to comply" should only be used intransitively. You can't "comply" anything. You might comply with something. It's awful to imagine a department of people "complying" things.
