If it WAS the Saudi Prince interview on Newsnight that finally "did" for Rebekah Brooks, then there appears to be an ethical concern about editing, according to the Guardian.
The key quote from Justin Rowlett's feature on News International shareholder Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal Alsaud was repeated thus in papers and on video "The indications are for her [Brooks's] involvement in this matter is explicit, for sure she has to go, you bet she has to go".
Juliette Garside in The Guardian says the unedited version had "if" at the front. "If the indications, etc". Quite different. Maybe the BBC will run the whole piece.
