More belt-tightening at Radio 2. Sir Terry Wogan returns for a new run of Sunday shows - but will be confined to the studios of Western House, rather than the wide-open spaces of the Radio Theatre. Gone, too, the big sound of the Elio Pace House Band and the production expertise of Alan "Barrowlands" Boyd. Instead, we are promised "Terry inviting a star, a superstar or a rising star to the studio each week to perform an intimate, stripped-down performance". Producing this intimacy will be Wise Buddah Creative, of Great Titchfield Street, W1.
I'd gamble on hearing more rising stars than anything else. From Radio Today.
