Sold

Iranian-born architect and developer Yousef Tishbi, 62, is the new owner of New Broadcasting House on Oxford Road in Manchester, with his company Realty Estates buying the 5.4 acre site for an undisclosed sum from the BBC, according to Place North West.   Yousef and his family have been into property since 1985; they have an interest in the redevelopment of the Boddington's Brewery site; they own Issa Quay and Gateway House near Picadilly station; and also run Apex Self Storage.  Realty also owns and operates La Reserve Hotel, next to Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge.

No news on his plans for Oxford Road; work can't start til the 800 BBC staff move out to MediaCityUK later this year.
