The Daily Mirror seems to have been first with the news that Sian Williams is likely to leave the red sofas of BBC Breakfast when they head north to Salford early next year. It quotes her agent, Alex Armitage, chief executive of Noel Gay, "This is not about going to Salford, but about a decade of getting up before the dawn chorus. We’ve been talking to the BBC for the past six to nine months about potential new roles where she doesn’t need to use her alarm clock quite so frequently.”
And of course, Noel Gay has a range of artistes who could fill the Breakfast gap.
