Another scoop for the Salford Star: John Holland, the man appointed by Salford University to forge links with other tenants of MediaCity, has left his post. He apparently never moved fully north, and is heading south to run a media consultancy. He's already updated his web site to put the University in the past tense.
Holland's big CV pull for Salford was that he was once Head of Interactive and Digital Text at the BBC - he filled that role in the late 90s at the behest of David Docherty; but moved on when Katharine Everett was put in charge of the BBC's new media operations.
