The BBC has offered its standard response to those who believe it is sending too many people to Glastonbury. Via the Press Association, it's confirmed that 274 staff/freelancers are going, as well as 130 on short term contracts. A total of 404.
This time last year, it admitted 275 staff/freelancers and 130 short-term contractors were in attendance - plus two "senior staff" who had received free passes and were attending in a "work capacity". A total of 407.
So there's been some very limited efficiency in a year - or they've left out Yentob and Parfitt from this year's calculations ?
