Rather ho-hum post from The Independent's digital guru Jimmy Leach, on being asked how embedding BBC news video works for them....
"It's largely an editorial decision. There's no gubbins going on, as we need to control the embedding of external sources. We can't add a feed off the BBC to our main carousel (if we wanted to, which I never got to worrying about) because there's ads attached to that player. It's quite a limited step - limited by what the BBC produce, whether its relevant to what we've got and by how well our day is going that we've got time to add these things.
As I say, it's a more significant step for the Beeb"
