Ianto Jones is an (ex) character in Russell T Davies' Dr Who spin-off, Torchwood. His fictional demise has left some fans unhappy, and UK campaigns to get him brought back to life have been good natured, even raising money for Children in Need.
In the States, some viewers, watching on BBC America, are taking a less savoury approach. Under the banner "Save The Coffee Boy", they're posting letters and packages containing coffee, coffee vouchers, coffee labels etc to BBC Director General Mark Thompson.
