Board tweaked

So we now have details of the discussion about the elevation of Michel Berangere to the BBC Board, from the minutes of tbe  Board Nominations Committee in November.  It all looks very strategic, saying having the Chief Finance Officer on the full board is best governance practice. However, it fails to spot that soon, it's likely that three of the Executive side will have no previous top level BBC experience, with replacements for Tim Davie and Deborah Turness likely to join Michel as 'newbies'.  I believe also that long-term it weakens the attraction for future Chief Content Officers.

And, so far, there's been no disentangling COO Leigh Tavaziva's responsibilities, which still read "She has responsibility at board level for key functions including: Finance, Operations, Technology & Product, Distribution, Legal, HR, Property, Procurement, Commercial, Rights & Business Affairs, and Quality, Risk & Assurance."
