'Gruesome sell-out or a chance to lead ?' I'm looking forward to Laura Kuenssberg's In Depth follow-up to Trump v Starmer, endlessly characterised by BBC News as some sort of of 'sh*t or bust' event.
It was uncomfortable to watch the largely-principled Starmer, probably the least tactile PM since Alec Douglas Home, deferring to the Donald. Trump decided to play the golf bully, chilling out at the 19th, rather than international thug, and obviously preened at the thought of putting practice on the lawns of Windsor Castle.
The meeting wasn't a disaster, but only time will determine whether it's changed Trump's intentions in any meaningful way at all. Stop manufacturing crises, please.
