Let's just ease off the drama pedal.  The BBC News website's major 'In Depth' offering this weekend is from programme presenter and podcaster Laura Kuenssberg.  The prominence suggests she's also political editor emeritus. 

The headline is binary. 'Gruesome sell-out or a chance to lead': What will happen when Starmer visits Trump?  The quote is an amalgam of words from 'a source' and from Laura herself. It's framed as if there's a wimpy option for our Prime Minister, and a Churchillian way forward. Drama from the start for Laura: The next seven days really matter.

Here's an alternative view. It's Thursday that's the date of the meeting, and it may not be decisive in any way at all...
