Former BBC DG and New York Times CEO Mark Thompson is salami-slicing at CNN. 100 jobs are going, out of a workforce of 3,500. Among those going in this round, media critic Brian Lowry, with CNN since 2016, and senior technology writer Samantha Murphy Kelly, who also joined in 2016.
