Scottish stuff

We have bits and bobs from the November meeting of the BBC Board's Scotland committee.

The meeting welcomed John Morrison, chair of MG ALBA, which the BBC supplies with £10m worth of content per year, at rising cost of 31p per user hour.  Basic audience figures are hard to find, but Mr Morrison seems to have noted a fall: "Audience appreciation is solid, despite a reduction in linear consumers. The number of repeats is higher than would be desired."

I'm sure Steve Carson said something that made more sense than this minute "The Director noted the path to target on BBC Scotland’s Diversity and Inclusion has been a positive improvement."

And there was an acknowledgement that Pacific Quay, built too big, is still not full. "A future committee would consider the opportunities to sub-let part of the BBC estate in Scotland."
