Dame Elan Closs Stephens on fellow BBC Board member Sir Robbie Gibb, in the Financial Times: “Robbie has a particular point of view about diversity of thought that usually means we are probably too left in his opinion. But the idea that that single voice could sway the whole of the board into doing something it didn’t believe in is improbable . . . There’s a groundswell of feeling that we cannot be seen to be nervous going into an election year.”
Sir Robbie sits on the main board, chairs the BBC England committee and chairs the Board Remuneration Committee. His current term is up on 6th May.
