We have the minutes of the BBC Board's England sub-committee from 9th November 2023. We presume they were written by Mark Grinnell, billed as 'Secretary', Executive Lead, BBC Nations.
They use a sort of strangled business-speak, unfamiliar to Google Translate. My favourite bits:
The Committee heard the BBC Local Investigations unit is now divided into two parts. The local cross platform teams produce holding to account journalism while the central investigation teams turn those stories into half hour content which would be broadcast on network.
The Committee discussed how content made for linear audiences could be made digitally for other platforms including podcasting.
Portrayal titles have a positive impact on audience trends regionally when content is set in local areas.
We're delighted that the punctilious Sir Robbie Gibb signed these minutes off. Presumably he understands them.
