With a further lull in the fighting, it looks like BBC News are finally ready to announce their planned cuts for the next financial year. They are already six to eight weeks behind the traditional timetable, which allows for 'discussions' with unions before implementation.
We should learn, finally, what's happening to Newsnight, and there'll undoubtedly be shifts to 'digital First' spending. Woven into the cuts will also be more moves 'Across The UK'; by March 2023, News had shifted £14.4m of annual spending outside the capital in the shape of 220 'roles'; by 2028, the target is £98m.
