There's no doubt that Carol Vorderman has used Twitter/X over the last year to campaign for the removal of the current Government. 

It's less clear that her weekly show on BBC Radio Wales counts as 'factual journalism' or a 'flagship programme'. It's a mixture of music and guests like Les Dennis, Ruby Wax, Dame Joan Collins, Gyles Brandreth and many other usual suspects with something to plug. 

Carol says the updated BBC Social Media Guidelines have been made part of her Radio Wales contract, and BBC management say she's breached them - so she's off, after five years in the slot. It's a decision that must have been taken with Executive Committee level advice. 

Her current pinned Tweet: "This is about ALL OF US, not just me, calling out the greedy, divisive politics of the Tory gutter today, but more than that, it's how we'll fight to get this country back for our kids' future in 2024"
