The BBC's flagship arts show, 'imagine...' is coming back to our screens with a series of films about breakthrough artists.
Pet Shop Boys, Neil Tennant (69) and Chris Lowe (64), Dawn French (66) and Jennifer Saunders (65), Russell T Davies (60), and Danny Boyle (67) opening Manchester's Aviva Studios are the topics, presumably all chosen by series editor Alan Yentob (76).
There is, as yet, no transmission date for the four programmes, three of which have working titles. The last appearance of a new edition of 'imagine...' was in March, celebrating the career of Stephen Frears, 82.
Alan's most famous film, a Omnibus documentary about David Bowie called Cracked Actor, was made when Bowie was 28 and Yentob was 27.
