Whatever the agenda, August is never a good month for news ratings. The merged BBC News channel reached 9.5m according to BARB figures for the four weeks - down from 10.2m in July, and 12.1m in June. Last August the reach was 10.7m.
Sky News reached 8m, down from 8.6m in July, and 9.3m in June. Last August, Sky News reached 8.1m.
GB News reached 2.8m, down from 3.1m in July and 3.4m in June. Last August, the channel reached 2.6m.
TalkTV reached 1.4m, down from 1.9m in July and 2.1m in June. The reach was the same last August.
