Dramatic partners

So many strange bedfellows in current tv drama production. The BBC and Netflix have invested in a new six part drama-documentary about Lockerbie. BBC1 gets to show it first, then it lives with Netflix for a bit, presumably hoping for US interest - the majority of the 259 passengers were American - and the FBI played their part in the investigation.

The series is being made by World Productions, a subsidiary of ITV Studios, in association with MGM Television and Night Train Media (HQ: Munich). Toluca Pictures are also supplying an executive producer. It was commissioned for the BBC by Gaynor Holmes, who works out of Scotland, so I'm sure whatever funds the BBC has contributed, they'll count as "Across the UK".
