"Interests: Spending precious time with family and friends. Arsenal Football Club. Cookery programmes for viewing, restaurants for eating. Films, theatre, great TV series. Wine". Reads like a dream profile for a viewer of ITV's flagship magazine programme, This Morning.
And if she hasn't watched it before, she will be now: Jane Mulcahy, KC, recently appointed co-head of Blackstone Chambers, has been engaged by ITV to consider l'affaire Schofield. Jane has specialised in employment law and mediation, often in the World of Sport, where she's acted for Kieran Trippier, Daniel Sturridge, Manchester City, The England and Wales Cricket Board and more. She's also an Appeal Steward for the British Board of Boxing Control and an Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer for international tennis.
She emerged as a barrister in 1995, after a previous career as a 'journalist and editorial director'. Sadly, the TradingAsWDR new "firm it up if you can" service (an emerging challenger to BBC Verify) can find no record of this, nor her education before the diploma in law. Get in touch if you can help.
