Risky stuff

The minutes of the BBC's Audit and Risk Committee always need decoding. Here's some bits from April 2023.

There had been an improvement in the rating (from what to what, please) of the Across the UK project, with a positive forecast on transfer spend.(Does this mean it's cheaper to make some programmes outside London ?)

The risks to the East Bank project continued to be monitored, with mitigating actions now agreed and put in place. (This is the new music centre in Stratford, presumably suffering some cuts and delays; and still no buyer for Maida Vale)

The proposal to include the Operating Model programme on the Critical Projects Portfolio was approved, with detailed work to baseline the project underway. (Surely they don't mean the project was launched without a baseline ?)

E20 quarterly update was noted, with the position of the project currently looking healthy. (This is the work on the EastEnders set, first planned in 2013 for completion in 2018, then started in 2015 for completion in 2020. The last published completion date was May 2023 - now in the past.)
